About the author of Across That Bridge
One of the original advocates for change at the heart of the Civil Rights Movement, John Lewis was one of the “Big Six” leaders whose efforts resulted in the 1964 Civil Rights Act and other significant reforms. He was a member of the US House of Representatives from 1987 until his death in 2020.
